Neem Expands into Logistics with Strategic Partnership with Leopards Courier Services

Embedded finance startup Neem has officially entered the logistics space in Pakistan through a strategic partnership with Leopards Courier Services, one of the country’s largest logistics and courier companies. The move follows Neem’s recent expansion into the insurance sector and reflects its broader vision to embed financial services into high-impact industries.

Neem, which has raised over $4 million in seed funding from a mix of global and local investors, will deploy its flagship wallet infrastructure to digitize and streamline financial operations across Leopards’ extensive merchant network. As part of the partnership, Neem will power a white-labeled wallet app, fully branded under the Leopards Courier Services name, enabling thousands of merchants nationwide to manage payments, track balances, and make withdrawals through a single digital interface.

Leopards, with a nationwide footprint of more than 1,000 express centers and over 1,500 service locations, sees this collaboration as a leap forward in digital transformation. Zahid Ali Khosa, Vice President Commercial at Leopards, commented that the partnership with Neem enhances merchant experience by enabling faster, smarter, and fully digital financial transactions, reinforcing Leopards’ leadership in both logistics and fintech innovation.

In a conversation with Business Recorder, Neem co-founder Nadeem Shaikh emphasized the centrality of the logistics sector to Pakistan’s economic infrastructure. He pointed out that logistics drives trade, enables e-commerce, and connects urban and rural supply chains while employing millions, including delivery agents, drivers, and warehouse staff. Many of these individuals remain financially underserved, making this sector a compelling use case for embedded financial solutions.

Manual and delayed settlements have long posed a challenge to logistics firms and their merchant partners. Nadeem Shaikh noted that delays in accessing earnings hinder merchants’ ability to manage cash flows, restock inventory, and scale operations. With digital wallets integrated directly into logistics workflows, Neem aims to eliminate these bottlenecks and drive financial inclusion at scale.

While the initial focus of the partnership is on streamlining merchant settlements, Neem and Leopards are actively exploring several additional fintech applications for future phases. These include QR code and payment link-based digital collections at delivery points, automated payroll disbursements for logistics employees and riders, vendor payments through the logistics platform, earned wage access for frontline workers, and financing solutions for Cash on Delivery operations.

Neem also envisions enabling customers to receive real-time digital payment links for parcels, addressing trust concerns often associated with Cash on Delivery. This would allow customers to pay digitally at the time of delivery, enhancing transparency and reducing friction in the last-mile experience.

This logistics partnership follows Neem’s recent collaboration with EFU Life in the insurance sector and reflects its ongoing strategy to bring embedded finance to various sectors. Neem is already active in several industries through its payment products and earned wage access platform, including healthcare (Sehat Kahani), logistics (Smartlane, TCS), mobility (ezBike), agriculture (Bakhabar Kissan, Farm2Home), education (Edkasa), retail (Sana Safinaz, Union Fabrics), lifestyle (Davaam, Padelverse), and e-commerce (Bechlo.pk, Fenrir, EcommDeals).

As the startup continues to embed financial tools into high-volume, under-digitized sectors, its entry into logistics marks a significant milestone in its journey toward democratizing access to financial services in Pakistan.
