Faysal Bank is conducting Awareness and Account Opening Sessions across its Hyderabad branches on October 7 and 8, 2026, as part of the National Financial Literacy initiative. The sessions are open to the general public and are designed to give attendees a clearer understanding of Shariah-compliant banking along with practical guidance on opening an account, aimed at reaching residents who may not be familiar with how Islamic banking products work.
The sessions will run from 3:00 PM onwards at Faysal Bank branches across the city, with the bank advising interested members of the public to contact their nearest branch to confirm the exact day and timing before attending. Holding the sessions across multiple branches rather than a single central venue gives residents in different parts of Hyderabad an accessible option closer to where they live, which tends to matter for financial literacy programmes aimed at reaching people who may not otherwise seek out banking information on their own.
Pairing general awareness content with live account opening support is a common approach banks use to convert interest generated during an awareness session into an actual banking relationship, since attendees can complete the account opening process on the spot rather than having to return separately at a later date. Faysal Bank also pointed attendees toward its WhatsApp channel for live updates on the sessions, giving the public an additional channel to stay informed about scheduling or any changes to the programme.
Alongside the session details, Faysal Bank highlighted the State Bank of Pakistan’s complaint portal, accessible through the Sunwai website as well as mobile apps on the Google Play Store and iOS App Store, which allows the public to lodge complaints related to banking issues. The bank also shared a link to a tutorial explaining how to register a complaint through the portal. No specific number of sessions or expected attendance figures were disclosed for the Hyderabad programme, nor was it indicated whether similar sessions are planned for other cities as part of the broader National Financial Literacy initiative.
