Meezan Bank and Lucky Landmark (Private) Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate Shariah-compliant home financing solutions for LuckyOne Apartments, providing prospective homeowners with access to Islamic housing finance options. The agreement was formalized during a signing ceremony attended by senior representatives from both organizations. The collaboration is aimed at making the process of financing homes at LuckyOne Apartments more accessible and convenient for customers seeking Shariah-compliant solutions. The partnership brings together Meezan Bank’s Islamic banking and consumer finance capabilities with Lucky Landmark’s residential development platform, creating a financing arrangement for eligible customers interested in purchasing units at the project.
Meezan Bank was represented at the ceremony by Dr. Syed Amir Ali, President and CEO; Zia-ul-Hassan, Chief Operating Officer for Retail Banking; Ahmed Ali Siddiqui, Group Head Consumer Finance; Syed Salman Ahmed, Distribution Head South; Mirza Aamir Iqbal, Regional Manager Karachi East; and Muhammad Umair Alam, Branch Manager of LuckyOne. Lucky Landmark Private Limited was represented by Chairman Muhammad Sohail Tabba, CEO Saad Zuberi and CFO, Director Finance and Operations Muhammad Haneed, along with members of their respective teams. The participation of senior leadership from both organizations reflects the focus being placed on the partnership and its potential to facilitate housing finance for customers interested in LuckyOne Apartments.
The collaboration is centered on providing home financing through Shariah-compliant structures, which are designed to meet the requirements of customers seeking alternatives to conventional interest-based housing finance. Islamic banking has become an increasingly important segment of Pakistan’s financial sector, with banks offering financing products across areas including housing, consumer finance, automobiles and business needs. Housing finance remains an important area within this segment because the availability of suitable financing can influence the ability of individuals and families to purchase residential property. By linking the residential project with Meezan Bank’s home financing capabilities, the new arrangement provides customers with an additional channel for exploring financing options when considering apartments at LuckyOne.
For Meezan Bank, the agreement represents another step in expanding access to Shariah-compliant housing finance. The bank said through the collaboration it would continue to expand access to Islamic home financing solutions and help customers pursue homeownership. For Lucky Landmark, the partnership provides a financing channel that can support prospective buyers of LuckyOne Apartments who prefer Islamic banking solutions. The MoU therefore connects property development with Islamic financial services, giving eligible customers an opportunity to explore home financing through a dedicated banking relationship. As Pakistan’s Islamic banking sector continues to develop, collaborations between financial institutions and property developers can provide customers with more structured financing options while supporting the broader availability of Shariah-compliant housing solutions.
