Conviyo Launches WhatsApp AI Calling To Transform Conversational Commerce For Businesses And Customers

Conviyo has launched WhatsApp AI Calling, introducing voice-powered interactions to conversational commerce and enabling businesses to manage customer conversations and transactions through artificial intelligence.

The new feature allows AI to communicate with customers through WhatsApp calls, understand their requests, process orders, and guide them through the purchasing journey. Conviyo said the technology can significantly reduce the number of messages required to complete transactions, particularly for businesses handling multi-step ordering processes.

For food and beverage businesses, conversations that previously required around 15 to 20 messages can potentially be completed through just two service messages. For non-F&B businesses, the journey can be reduced to a single service message containing a Shopify Checkout URL, according to the company.

Conviyo’s AI calling technology is integrated with several commerce platforms and services, including Shopify, WooCommerce, Blinkco, Harlyy, Indolj, and Salla. These integrations allow businesses to connect AI-powered customer conversations with their existing commerce infrastructure.

The feature is currently available in beta and represents Conviyo’s move toward making WhatsApp a combined voice and text commerce channel. By enabling AI to manage conversations, orders, and checkout journeys, the company aims to give businesses another way to interact with customers while reducing friction in digital purchasing.
