TDAP Engages Global Logistics Leaders To Advance Technology Enabled Trade And Logistics Ecosystem

The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has engaged international logistics leaders to explore opportunities for developing a more connected, efficient and technology-enabled logistics ecosystem in Pakistan. The discussions took place at TDAP’s Lahore office with Prof. Dr. Thomas Sim, President of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), Grace Sun, President of the Global Logistics Alliance (GLA), and Muhammad Jamil Ahmed, Chairman of the Pakistan International Freight Forwarders Association (PIFFA).

TDAP officials highlighted efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s integration with international trade and logistics networks while discussing ways to improve efficiency, connectivity and technology adoption across the sector. The participants explored the potential use of artificial intelligence and digital solutions in logistics, alongside the need for an enabling environment that supports their responsible and secure implementation.

The meeting also focused on warehousing and consolidation solutions that could help small and medium-sized enterprises overcome scale and cost-related challenges when accessing international shipping and global markets. Improved logistics infrastructure and greater access to international freight-forwarding networks could help Pakistani businesses improve their ability to participate in global trade.

The engagement further explored opportunities for collaboration between Pakistan’s logistics industry and international freight-forwarding networks, including through the GLOBE Pakistan Summit 2026. TDAP said these efforts are aimed at building stronger trade connectivity and supporting Pakistani businesses as they seek greater access to international markets.
