ABHI Microfinance Bank has launched its DIY Banking initiative as part of a broader effort to digitize its branch network and transform how customers access everyday banking services. The new initiative introduces a self-service banking ecosystem designed to give customers greater control over supported banking activities while reducing reliance on traditional counter-based services.
The new DIY Banking setup includes ABHI ATMs, Cash Deposit Machines (CDMs) and Self-Service Kiosks, allowing customers to complete selected banking activities independently within the branch environment. The bank has also introduced instant card printing, enabling customers to receive their cards immediately through the new self-service infrastructure.
The initiative is designed to make routine banking transactions faster, more convenient and accessible by combining digital capabilities with physical branch infrastructure. Customers can use the self-service touchpoints for supported services without depending entirely on traditional banking counters, giving them greater flexibility in how they interact with the bank.
The launch represents the beginning of a wider transformation of ABHI Microfinance Bank’s branch network, bringing together self-service technology and conventional banking touchpoints. Rather than simply installing new machines, the bank is positioning DIY Banking as a redesigned branch experience focused on customer choice, convenience and independent access to banking services.
The initiative also forms part of ABHI’s broader digital transformation strategy as the bank continues developing technology-led financial services in Pakistan. Through DIY Banking and other digital interventions, the bank is working to modernize its operations, improve customer experience and expand access to convenient banking services.
