1LINK Onboards ABL Asset Management as Master Biller on 1BILL

1LINK has onboarded ABL Asset Management Company Limited (ABL AMC) as a Master Biller on its 1BILL platform, adding another financial services organization to the payment infrastructure. The onboarding enables ABL AMC to use 1BILL for bill payment collection, supporting a more centralized digital payment process for its customers. The development reflects the continued expansion of 1LINK’s bill payment ecosystem and the adoption of digital collection channels by financial institutions and other service providers in Pakistan.

As a Master Biller on 1BILL, ABL AMC will be integrated into 1LINK’s bill payment network, allowing customers to access its applicable payment services through participating channels. 1BILL is designed to connect billers with banks and other payment channels, enabling customers to make payments through digital banking applications, ATMs, mobile banking and other supported channels. The integration can provide a more convenient payment experience while giving the biller access to an established payment infrastructure for collecting customer dues.

The onboarding of ABL AMC also highlights the role of centralized payment platforms in supporting financial institutions as they expand their digital services. Instead of relying on separate payment arrangements across different channels, integration with a shared payment infrastructure can provide a standardized mechanism for processing and reporting transactions. For customers, wider availability of bill payment services across familiar banking and digital channels can make routine financial transactions easier to complete.

ABL Asset Management Company is part of the financial services sector and provides asset management services to customers. Its integration with 1BILL adds an asset management company to the network of organizations using 1LINK’s payment infrastructure. The development comes as Pakistan’s financial sector continues to shift more routine transactions toward digital channels, with customers increasingly using online and mobile platforms to manage payments and other financial activities. Digital bill payment infrastructure can support this transition by connecting service providers with multiple payment channels through a single network.

The onboarding of ABL AMC as a Master Biller further expands the reach of 1BILL and its role within Pakistan’s digital payment ecosystem. By connecting ABL AMC with 1LINK’s payment network, the arrangement is expected to support digital collection and provide customers with additional ways to make applicable payments. The development also demonstrates continued collaboration between payment infrastructure providers and financial institutions as the industry works toward greater adoption of electronic payment channels.
